Free Books, Crafts, and Author Reading!

On Sunday I made an announcement. It was actually my very first facebook video, which was definitely stepping outside of my comfort zone.

In that video, I announced that I'd be providing free resources to all the children, teachers, parents, and educators who are now homebound because of COVID-19.

My first three videos have all featured a reading from one of my books, a fun and easy craft that is age appropriate, as well as a free copy of my book to download onto your kindle or other reading device!

I invite you to follow along on my facebook page. The videos are posted at 11 am every weekday for two weeks (March 16th- March 27th). Feel free to share the resource with friends, family, and educators.

Selah's Stolen Dream by Susan Count

Happy March! I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to spring and signs of it are all around me. The birds are chirping a little louder....and trying to build nests in the vents of my house. Some days are a bit warmer though not necessarily brighter. Cloudy days seem to be the harbinger of spring, usually with an accompanying rain. In fact, just the other night we had a thunderstorm!

Author Susan Count just released a new horse book! This is her fourth horse story and like the others, it's perfect for middle grade readers.

Here's some information about Susan's book, Selah's Stolen Dream:

One girl’s victory is another’s tragic defeat. Thirteen-year-old Selah’s perfect life unravels when her beloved horse is stolen. Then ten-year-old Emma buys the dream of a lifetime at a horse auction. When s…

Nadia's True Colors Cover Reveal!

It's been way too long since I had a cover reveal here. It's been equally overdue to introduce the next unicorn book in the Unicorn Tales series.

Callie's Magical Flight (book 1) released in June 2019 followed by Maeve's New Friend (book 2) in October. The cover for book 3, Elle's Secret Wish, was revealed in July but the progress stopped there. It was my intent to release all the books relatively close together but then life happened. Or rather, some sad events, including the passing of Lily, my beloved and faithful companion of 14 years. I'd written books 3 and 4 during the week of her passing, promptly closed those documents, and never reopened them.

While I tried to push myself to edit and revise, every time I attempted to open those documents, I choked on my own tears and breath. It was a painful experience and I decided it was best to let it go. Maybe the time would never be right but I'd also hoped someday my heart would heal enough to tackle those s…
